Brenda Haines - President

Brenda Haines, Oshkosh Food Co-op Board of Directors

 

 

 

 

 

Brenda Haines is co-founder/co-owner of Blue Door Consulting, an Oshkosh-based marketing consulting firm she started with a business partner in 2002. Through her consulting practice, she helps B2B and B2C organizations of all sizes – from start-ups to national brands – grow and prosper. She has served on boards for Verve, A Credit Union, Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, the Women's Fund of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Oshkosh Rotary Club. Brenda joined the Board in 2013. She currently serves on the Membership Recruitment and Engagement Committee. Her current term extends through 2024.

Chris Corbin - Vice-President

Chris Corbin, Board Member

The Rev. Dr. Chris Corbin grew up in Florida and graduated from Florida Southern College with his B.A., Yale Divinity School with his M.Div., and Vanderbilt University with his Ph.D. He currently serves as rector (senior pastor) of Trinity Episcopal Church in Oshkosh. Before Trinity, he served as Canon to the Ordinary, Communications Director, and Dean of the Niobrara School for Ministry for the Diocese of South Dakota. He is a founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine Earth & Altar and the author of the book The Evangelical Party and Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s Return to the Church of England from Routledge. Chris serves as Vice-President for the Oshkosh Food Co-op and is a member of the Membership Recruitment and Engagement Committee. He was elected to the Board in 2022. His current term extends through 2025.

Heather Seraphine - Secretary/Treasurer

Heather Seraphine, Oshkosh Food Co-op Board Secretary

Heather Seraphine has lived in the Oshkosh area for the past 13 years. Heather grew up in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and went to college in Pennsylvania. She later worked at a large law firm in Washington D.C. while teaching evening classes at a business college before relocating to Wisconsin. She currently works at Oshkosh Defense as a contract administrator.  Heather served as an Adjunct Board Member through the Leadership Oshkosh program in 2021-2022. She was elected to the board in 2022. She currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer, Chair of the Facilities Committee and as Board Liaison to the Data Governance Committee. Her current term extends through 2026.


Jessica King 

Jessica King, Oshkosh Food Co-op Board Vice President

Jessica King is Vice President of Operations for Knowtion Health. Jessica brings nine years of operational experience managing a technology-enabled service business within the healthcare revenue cycle management industry. Prior to her current profession, Jessica was the sole shareholder of a private legal practice with emphasis on business reorganization, receiverships, and consumer bankruptcy protection. She has worked with Oshkosh area community members on various community boards and projects. She joined the Board in 2022. Her current term extends through 2025.

Julie Kons

Julie Kons, Board of Directors

Julie Kons is a semi-retired non-profit executive, who currently serves as Co-Executive Director of an organization providing treatment and support services.  She and her husband, Scott, have been married 29 years and have three children and seven grandchildren. Julie was born and raised in Oshkosh and is very civic minded. Julie brings knowledge of the community, a care for social issues, leadership abilities, human resource knowledge and visionary thinking to the Co-op Board of Directors. She was elected to the Board in 2023, filling a vacant seat. She serves as the Co-op's Volunteer Coordinator. Her current term extends through 2024.

Tracy Luchetta

Tracy Luchetta, Board of Directors

Born and raised in Illinois, Tracy has been living in Wisconsin for over 30 years. She is a retired state employee who has made Oshkosh home for the past 20 years. She began her professional career as a faculty member at the UW-Green Bay in the Psychology and Human Development departments. In 2003, she transitioned to the State of Wisconsin Department of Human Services, where she held staff and administrative positions. Tracy says she loves living in Oshkosh and derive great satisfaction in engagement with the local community, from memberships in the YMCA and the Paine Art Center to participation in the
Historic Fourth Ward neighborhood association. She has been an Oshkosh Food Co-op volunteer since the lead-up to the store opening, and, in the process, has met some of the kindest and most engaging employees, board members, member-owners, vendors, and customers! Tracy was elected to the Board in 2023. She serves as Chair of the Governance Committee. Her current term extends through 2026.

Belynda Pinkston

Belynda Pinkston, Oshkosh Food Co-op Board of Directors

Belynda Pinkston has been an educator for more than 30 years. Originally from Orlando, Florida, she has lived in Oshkosh for nearly five years. Belynda currently works at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She believes in giving back to her community through engagement with community organizations such as the Oshkosh Food Co-op. Belynda was first appointed to the Board of Directors in 2021, filling a seat vacated by Ryan Rasmussen. She was elected to a three-year term in 2022. Belynda serves as Board Liaison to the Food Justice Committee. Her current term extends to 2025.

Susan Tatum

Susan Tatum, Board Member

Susan Tatum is an Oshkosh native and a retired business executive, who brings a combination of extensive experience and operational and marketing wisdom combined with a deep understanding of the Oshkosh community. Her career with Marriott Management Services, now Sodexo, was in operations and marketing. Operationally, her responsibilities included not only food service, but pantries and C Stores. The volume of these assorted enterprises was approximately $300 M in 1990 dollars. After concluding her corporate career as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for North America, Susan started her own company, Vinca Marketing and Communications, in 2003, focusing on K-12 food service innovation and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. With Second Harvest, she designed a commercial kitchen for a new facility and created a surplus generating catering program, production kitchen and a consumer product line. Susan was elected to the Board in 2023. She serves as Board Liaison to the Finance Committee. Her current term extends to 2026.

Susy Vette

Susy Vette, Oshkosh Food Co-op Board Member

Susy Vette is a longtime Oshkosh resident, graduate of Rose C. Swart Campus School, Oshkosh High School, UW Madison. Her professional career includes work as advertising copywriter and account executive (Marshall Field & Co. Chicago,) Compton Advertising, (San Juan, PR,) Directions, Inc. (Neenah,) Geer Murray (Oshkosh) and as a self-employed marketing communications consultant as Write Ideas. She has served on a wide array of community boards, including thef Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra, Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Grand Opera House Foundation, Mercy Health Foundation, Women’s Fund of the OACF, Affinity Health System, Evergreen, UW Oshkosh Foundation, Tempo Fox Valley and Tempo International, Service League and Leisure Hour Art Club. She was first elected to fulfill a two-year term in 2019 and was re-elected in 2021. Her current term extends through 2024.

If you wish to submit an official member comment, please include "Member Comment" in the subject line to ensure the email is read into the minutes of our meeting and the Board can do appropriate follow-up. 

Additionally, member-owners are welcome to attend Board meetings. The Board typically meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Oshkosh Food Co-op Community Room. Check the Events calendar to confirm the date, time and location.

About Board Elections

Pursuant to our articles of incorporation and bylaws, the Oshkosh Food Co-op Board of Directors consists of nine directors.

  • Directors are elected at our annual membership meeting and serve terms of three years.
  • One-third of the seats are up for election each year.
  • Off-schedule vacancies are filled by appointment by the Board of Directors. Those Directors serve until the next membership meeting, when they are then up for election.
  • Seats filled off-cycle may serve shorter terms.
